Theatre Play "Father"
Фино кино – Laboratorium, Skopje
In August Strindberg's drama "Father," the author transforms his bitterness and painful experience from a tumultuous marriage into a timeless story about irreconcilable masculine and feminine principles, distrust, and destructive relationships. In our contemporary interpretation, the focus is on Laura and the psychological violence she is exposed to daily. Through her relationship with the Captain, his control and restrictions, we depict the escalation of domestic violence, opening space to question the guilt and responsibility of both spouses.
